Amid the cornucopia of love triangles, Qayamat is desi version of Hollywood's Entrapment. It tells the story of Ali (Arbaaz Khan), Abbas (Sanjay Kapoor) and Laila (Isha Koppikar) who are the arms dealer in this part of the globe. The CBI officer Akram Sheikh (Suniel Shetty) is thorn in their eye as he is biggest roadblock in their business. He cracks down on the two warlords as they are in the process of completing an arms deal.
As a result both of the warlords come under lot of pressure from their clients. To get themselves out of the soup, they come up with a plan which will not only give them safe route to escape but enrich them too. Rahul (Aashish Chowdhry) is a scientist who is creating an anti-virus to prevent several lives in case of Chemical or Biological war. The virus he is working on is got smuggled and now the whole city is under threat.
The CBI officer Akram Sheikh (Suniel Shetty) comes to the rescue. For his plan he chooses a deadly convict, Rachit (Ajay Devgan) who was notorious for his hi-tech robberies. He worked with Ali and Abbas in the past too. Gifted rachit was so good at his work that he made all the robberies look like a work of art. Rachit is in solitary confinement and drugged frequently by doctors because the memories of his girlfriend Sapna (Neha Dhupia) makes him violent. The final battle begins as the warlords lock horn with the law and sanity.Qayamat It's the debut movie of Neha Dhupia and looks pretty good on it's face value. Only time will tell how it will fare at the Box-Office.
