Sushmita has gone through so many bad relationships that you can call her the queen of heartbreaks. Be it Vikram Bhatt or Sanjay Narang, everyone chose to walk out of theromantic liaisons with her. Perhaps that's the reason, this Bengali lass has become so much wary about the relationship with men in her life. "Falling out of love can be the most painful experience in life." she says.

According to her: "I have always needed good looking men around me. But if there's one harsh lesson that I have learnt it is never to depend on them for emotional support. People accuse me of not keeping my relations with Sanjay intact. This is however not true. It's just that I have so often been betrayed in love that I am now very cautious in my dealings with men." The former Miss Universe is bitter about being used by the men in her life. "Those I loved had no qualms about ditching me when they found it convenient to do so. It's very painful when people stab you in the back and more so when these are people whom you have trusted. I did have a relationship with Sanjay but when I felt I was being cheated, I decided to be more careful in future," she quips.

Sen insists she now wants to live life on her own terms. "Every one needs a loving partner in his or her life. I also do. But when people fail to live up to your expectations again and again, your worldview is bound to change. While I may once again get into a relationship in future, I am determined to be strong. I will never allow another betrayal to wreak havoc in my life", she says.
