Bipasha's popularity has skyrocketed after her hot performances and so is her price. The actress who did her first film for 15 lakh demands 50 lakh today. The hike in the price has made producers wary of her. Southern director Pooranchandra Rao who wanted to sign her for a film refrained from doing so because she demanded a high sum to act in his film. Bipasha Basu was also to do Gaurang Doshi's Deewar.

However today her name does not figure in the cast list. The reason being her high price! Pooja Bhatt wanted to cast Bipasha in her next venture but Bips asked for an exhorbitant sum. Pooja Bhatt is looking out for a newcomer instead. Producers have been heard complaining about Bipasha unreasonable rising price. In fact Jaane Kya Hoga producer Alok Shrivastav whose film she had signed for 15 lakhs filed a complaint with AMTPP against the actress because she refuse to shoot for the film because she wanted more money.
