Salman Khan will launch a new collection of gold coins today under the umbrella of his charitable organisation - Being Human.

The actor, who in the past has launched his collection of Being Human watches, has decided to now add gold coins to his name. The initiative will be a joint collaboration between Being Human and Gitanjali.

A source reveals, "Salman was open to the idea of collaborating with the jewellery house. In fact, he even looked at the creative of the gold coins and approved them before they were finalised.

He was quite surprised with the response his brand of watches evoked from friends and family. So when it came to gold coins, he knew it was a way to extend the franchise."

The coins will be part of the Being Human foundation and proceedings from the sale will go to the trust. A source adds that Salman is also planning to further extend his brand. "Being Human started with clothes and then watches. Now he's added gold coins and in the future, plans to incorporate more ideas to raise funds."
