Katrina Kaif, the model-turned-actress, who has been in the news recently for her link-up with Salman Khan, finds her career gone for a toss even before it has began. Katrina was supposed to play the female lead in Bhatt`s Saaya, opposite the new sensation John Abraham but she was replaced by Tara Sharma, who played Abhishek Bachchan`s lady love in Om Jai Jagadish.

The Bhatt camp insists that Katrina was given the marching orders since she couldn`t pick up Hindi. Despite all linguistic shortcomings, this phoren-returned beauty is all charged up.

"Why are people so concerned about my not knowing Hindi well? After all, I am taking Urdu lessons. I have more talent than a lot of actresses put together", she says. She is not bothered about her link up with Salman anymore and stresses that she is here to stay. She's all agog about ‘Boom' that will hit the theatres shortly, and believes it will mark a great beginning to her acting career.
