My dream boy should be like my father!
With that attractive gap in her teeth, Esha Deol is leaving no margins to prove to be of Punjabi ilk. Daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Milini, Esha is jumping around in the bollywood but keeping herself attached to the HOME too. She loves no other place better than her own home means Mummy-Papa's home. Excerpts from an interview:
Q. What kind of a dream boy you have in mind?
Ans. He should be just like my father. Physically stronger and taller than me. His body should be like Silvestar Stellon. He should have almond eyes and he should be a step ahead of me in life. Above all he should be caring.
Q. And what about your dream house?
Ans. I want a quiet cottage alongside the seashore. The interiors should be of whites or of light colours and the surroundings should be clean.
Q. Where do you spend your holidays?
Ans. I love London. I visit it twice in a year and feel at home there. I do not roam much in the city but try to spend time in tranquillity in London.
Q. Anything without which you cannot live?
Ans. I am crazy about my comfortable bed and bedding. I do not like sleeping while travelling. I am very fond of sleeping and my bed is the foremost thing without which my life would be incomplete.
Q. Any one moment that you would like to relive?
Ans. Yes, the moment when I had cleared my matriculation examination. I was too much excited. My mother could not believe my result and she went on to the computer to herself check again because I was week in mathematics.
Q. Which is the place where you would love to spend a night?
Ans. My home. I organise parties at home only. It is so beautiful. I rarely go out on birthdays.
Q. What have you to say about romance?
Ans. For me love is the beginning of a friendship. I do not like poems but I love gifting flowers. I am a clear minded person and like saying everything on the face...no chupke chupke thing.
Q. What do you do in free time?
Ans. Earlier in free time I used to play football. But now days I paint. I also like classical dance and practice it in free time.
Q. As a child, who was your favourite hero?
Ans. I was found of Govinda ji. I saw his Ilzaam umpteen times. I had, at that time a letter to him and he had replied too. In fact, Govind came to meet me after that. He had been a fan of my father. He was pleased to know that Dharmendra's daughter was his fan.
Q. Which love story you like the most?
Ans. The story of my Mom and Dad. They had idealistic romance amongst them. They face a number of problems but together they surpassed them all.
Q. Which are you favourite films?
Ans. Ghost is bewitching. The characters touch your inner self. Julia Roberts' "My Best Friends Wedding is also one of my favourites besides I have like "Sholay." Mom and Dad had acted together in "Sholay." There was lot of syncronisation in their acting. "Padosan" of Mehmood is another favourite. Ilzaam I have already mentioned.
Q. Would you sum up you personality in few words?
Ans. Mentally and physically, I am a strong person. I am not afraid of problems in life. I have lot of confidence on my inner-self and I know how to achieve my aim in life.
