"I don't consider myself a film person. I have done four films in my whole life. If something good comes along or interesting comes along - like a role I could sink my teeth into, I would consider doing it, " Mandira told.
The actress, who was seen in movies like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Shaadi Ka Laddoo" and "Meerabai Not Out", says the lack of films in her work profile is also because filmmakers are confused about what to do with her.
"I'm offered films but people don't know what to do with me - they offer me item numbers, sister's role in small banners. But I don't want to work with a small banner which is not going to give me anything. And I don't want to be seen as an item person - I don't want that image.
"Also, a lot of mainstream actors are getting into parallel cinema. So what happens to people like us is we don't get much quality work, " she added.
