50 composers to perform together at AIFEC event

More than 50 composers, including Oscar winning music director A.R. Rahman, will come together for a musical night organised by the All India Film Employees Confederation (AIFEC) as part of the three-day national conference starting Oct 9.

Apart from Rahman, some well-known names from southern cinema such as Ilayaraja, M.S. Vishwanathan, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris Jayaraj, Deva and Patnaik will perform on the inaugural day of the event.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who started his film career at the age of 17, will be conferred the Global Achiever Award at the AIFEC meet, said C. Guhanathan, president of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) at a press conference Monday.

Rajinikant and Kamal Haasan will attend the inaugural day event.
