Rajkumar Santoshi is back in the news with his next directorial venture Mahabharat. If the rumours are to be believed the budget of the movie could touch or exceed Rs 100 crores. Amitabh Bachchan will be portraying the role of Bhishma Pitamah.

Mahabharat, will boast of some of the biggest stars in Bollywood. Apart from Bachchan as Bhishma Pitamah, Mahabharat will have Sunny Deol as ‘Karan' and Arjun Rampal as ‘Arjun', while Sanjay Dutt will essay the role of ‘Duryodhan'. Santoshi has also signed Ajay Devgan for the role of ‘Lord Krishna'.

And the icing on the cake is that Aishwarya Rai will enact the role of ‘Draupadi' in the film. The film will be made in two parts simultaneously and will be released in two separate versions of 2.30 hours each, because the duration of the film will exceed 5 hours. Though both would be ready at the same time, the second part will be released after a 6-month gap at least.
