Isha Koppikar was a nobody until Khallas happened. The item number in Ram Gopal Varma`s film, Company, catapulted her into the limelight and she was expectedly inundated with film offers. "Despite having ten regional films behind me, I failed to make my mark as an actress. A little sex appeal does wonders for your career and I realized it the hard way", exclaims Isha.
The lovely lass, who seemed to have learnt the tricks of the trade, will be seen sporting a hot wardrobe in her forthcoming movie 'Inteqam'. The role offers lot of potential for her as she will be playing Sharon Stone's character from the Hollywood flick 'Basic Instinct'. Isha, who has no qualms about being 'exploited' says, "Every director expects me to do a 'Khallas' in his film. Only the settings differ - some want me inside a pub, some in the open and others choose a location closer to their own fantasy." She is very ecstatic about Harry Bawaj's Qayamat in which she is playing the lead role."For those who didn't get enough of me in 'Khallas' - go see 'Qayamat' and you will realise how oomphy I can really be!", she quips.
According to Ishaa, "Every woman who joins the film industry should be ready to make compromises along the way. And exploitation is not always economic; sometimes it gets physical too." "Since there was no godfather to ease my way to stardom, I had to struggle like everyone else. But I am happy I did 'Khallas' since it gave me the recognition I so desperately wanted. Today I have more offers than I can possibly handle," she gushes.
