Vivek Oberoi fractured his leg in a freak accident at Vidyasagar Setu, Kolkata yesterday. The accident occurred around 5 pm when the motorcycle which Vivek's dummy was riding, skidded and both the vehicle and the rider crashed into him fracturing his left leg. His co-actor Abhishek Bachchan also suffered bruises. Both Vivek and Abhishek were rushed to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute where Abhishek was later discharged.

He was brought back to Mumbai by a special Sahara flight at 6.30 am on Thursday where he will be treated by Dr Sanjay Agarwal, who operated on Aishwarya Rai when she suffered an injury during shooting a couple of months ago. Vivek was shooting for a Mani Ratnam film for the past three days. Mani Ratnam too complained of chest pain and was taken to B.M. Birla Heart Research Centre.
