Life has been more than fair to Rani lately. The petite girl managed to bag a hit from a sleepy film like 'Chalte Chalt'e. As a result, the offers are pouring in bulk. "Life's never been better. Suddenly I have the best roles coming my way and I don't even have to go that extra mile like some of my counterparts to cut their price or call film makers," she says.
Besides Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Baji Rao Mastani' and 'Black' she will be seen in Ketan Mehta's '1857, The Rising' and Mani Ratnam's next. The rumours are that, while bagging such prestigious roles she unwillingly initiated the cold war with Bebo and Aishwarya who she has replaced in these films.
But our Rani has learnt to take all such skirmishes in her stride and move on. "I think we should not take these things too much to heart. Someone would have done those films if not me. I can live with it," she says. "with all these good things happening around me, I can give my family the comfort they have been denied. My next dream would be probably to get a National Award or two. I am prepared to slog for that." adds Rani with a twinkle in her eyes.
Right now on the top of the world,Rani is planning to go on holidays with her family where she can switch off her moblie phone and break free from this mad-mad world.
