An ecstatic Sunil says, "It is a fabulous feeling. In all the reviews of my films till date, a majority have called me 'wooden' or said 'gives a routine performance'. To win an award at a recognized film festival like the SAIFF in New York is a big high as an actor and makes me want to work harder and better."
Sunil goes on to add, "The film is on a Naxal setting and right now, is the right time for the film to come out."
His performance was appreciated by the Jury and the audiences' too. The Theme of the movie has a universal appeal. As everybody on Planet earth is affected by Terrorism, External or Internal...
The film's director Ananth Mahadevan says, "I am happy especially for Sunil because his performance being appreciated at a global level. When I took this film to him, he had told me in his humble way, not to make the film with him in a solo lead. But I was sure he could pull off the character of Narasimha and he did."

About Red Alert the Movie:
Red Alert: the War Within' is based on the true story of Narasimha (Suniel Shetty), a poor farm laborer who desperately needs money to fund the education of his children. To earn his way, he finds himself in the midst of the Naxalite movement, forced to make difficult, and morally questionable, choices.
At first, he starts as a mere cook for the terrorist group. Before too long, he graduates to weapons training, shootouts and kidnappings. A good, kind man trying to earn for his family, Narasimha finds himself in a position he had never bargained for; a man left with no choices.
The conflicted Narasimha's life gets more complicated when a confrontation with the group leader (Ashish Vidyarthi) turns his world upside down; now he's caught in the middle of the law and the militants.
The only way Narasimha can survive is when he finally takes matters into his own hands.
