Bollywood is having spate of steamy films this summer. Scripts are getting bolder and producers are looking for dare bare heroines who can guarantee them a hit. When Sanjay Gupta approached Priyanka with such a similar role, the actress blatantly refused terming it as 'too hot to handle'.
Chopra, who did her best to outstrip Lara in Andaaz, found a tough task in playing a wanton wife who has a physical relationship with all four leading men in the film -- Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor and Mahesh Manjrekar.
According to Priyanka: "There has to be a limit to everything. I turned down the offer because the film is too erotic for my choice. I feel, this kind of Cinema has nothing to contribute to society. Even sex and nudity need a certain context to be meaningful; a context that 'Musafir' clearly lacks." The director has reportedly cast Sameera Reddy for the role.
But when asked, how she justifies her act in Andaaz she says, "Musafir is an nnecessarily 'aggressive' film in terms of its sexual content. Although I personally don't enjoy exposing, I agreed to do it for 'Andaaz' and 'The Hero' since it was a demand created by the script. There is however no such compelling justification for Gupta's film".
