They say, 'When the cat is away, the mouse will play' but we would like to rephrase it as: 'When Ash is away, Rani will play'. Yes, you guessed it right, Rani is reigning the Bollywood these days. With a major hit like 'Chalte Chalte' under her belt Rani has become the hot property.

While Queen-Bee, Ash, was busy completeing her international projects Rani garnered the films from all the major banners. She is playing lead roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Black' and 'Bajirao Mastani'. When last heard, she also bagged a biggie from Yash Chopra films in which Shah Rukh (predictably) will be her leading man.

The little birdie also tells us that Aishwarya Rai was supposed to do this film earlier but in wake of ongoing ShahRukh-Aishwarya tiff, Chopras decided to cast in Rani for the lead role. It is also heard that Chopras are mulling over Rani's name for their couple of upcoming ventures too.
