Anupam Kher to be new Censor Board chief

Veteran actor Anupam Kher will be the new chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification. This was announced in New Delhi on Wednesday by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Government also plans to review CBFC guidelines for which a Task Force will be set up, he said. Kher was offered the post as CBFC chairman after evergreen star Dev Anand refused it around a fortnight ago.
