In B-Town where every heroine is striving hard to get the coveted size zero figure, Vidya Balan is one such actress who has
no such aspirations. We hear Vidya, who is known for her versatile acting had absolutely no apprehensions to pile on kilos
of weight for her role of a village belle in Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Ishqiya'.
The 'Parineeta' girl who plays the character of Krishna a village belle in the film set against the rustic backdrop says it was
necessary to make her character authentic. She explains, "Krishna is a typical Indian woman with wholesome and
voluptuous figure. She requires those curves to look good in sari."
She adds, "Abhishek (Chaubey) also told me not to lose weight because it suited my character."
For 'Paa', Vidya
shed a few kilos as she was playing a doctor and mother of a kid suffering from fatal illness. The actress who got a lot of
flak for her weight gain has been working really hard to drop those extra kilos and is now looking fabulous.
