It's been a long-standing wish for Rajit Kapoor, that invisible actor whom Shyam Benegal has cast in most of his films, to come together in a movie with his long-standing co-star on stage, the incredibly gifted Shernaz Patel.

After two decades on stage the two have been finally brought together in a film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Confirming this Rajit says, "Shernaz and I run a theatre company called Rage along with Rahul Da Cunha. Sharnaz and I have worked together for twenty years on stage. But never on screen together. On Stage Shernaz and I did Diary Of Anne Frank together way back in 1986. We then did Nuts in 1988, followed by Mr Behram Class Of '84 which is still running after six years of its first staging. Our next play Love Letters has been on stage for sixteen years."

Rajit and Shernaz play lawyers opposing one another in court in Guzaarish. Though Shernaz earlier worked with Sanjay Bhansali in Black, this was the first time Rajit got a chance to work with the exacting director.

Says Rajit, "Though it's a small role, took just a week of shooting, I enjoyed myself immensely. What a wonderful team of actors! Most of all I finally got to share screen with Shernaz."
