B-Town has become very experimental as far as music is concerned. The music of 'Karthik Calling Karthik' is no less, no wonder it is creating waves all over. However, the innovation here is not in terms of instrumentation or any other reason, but something entirely different. The director of the film Vijay Lalwani explains.

"The music of the film is true to my taste. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy were categorically given briefs about how the music would shape. Every song in 'Karthik Calling Karthik' belongs to different genre and is completely based on the temperament of the two characters Karthik (Farhan Akhtar) and Sonali (Deepika Padukone)."

"The music and lyrics are composed keeping in mind the bubbly and chirpy character of Deepika and the very introvert Farhan, " signs off the director.
