Don't let this plunging neckline fool you. When it comes to Lara's true self she is just a plane Jane in a rational punjabi household, which according to her gives an edge to her personality.
"I may have exposed my bellybutton in the films but I've never worn a top that exposes my midriff in a real life," exults Lara who made a sizzling debut in Andaaz along with Priyanka Chopra.
On the sets, there had been more frowns than smiles but Lara has no remorse about her love-hate relationship with Chopra.
"We've never claimed to be best friends. We've had our ups and downs, after all, we're competitors in the same field. But I'd hate to have an attitude towards her. I think Priyanka is very talented but I don't think we're up for the same slot. Both of us will definitely create our own slots," she says.
A very diplomatic reply from the former Miss Universe but the truth is while Priyanka is having a dry run at the box office, Dutt is getting rave reviews for her short and sweet performances.
Lara's 'Aisa Jadoo' song from Khakee took the nation by storm but the pretty lady bestows all the credit on Raj Kumar Santoshi for orchestrating the item number so well.
But don't take her hot babe image for granted, implores Lara.
A lot of hard work has gone into getting here. Being a complete outsider in the film industry with no formal training in acting that truly gives me a feeling of satisfaction. I'm out to prove that I'm not just a flash in the pan," she says.
