"I am looking forward to spending time with my family and mom. My kids will be coming anytime. No special celebration, just being with the family," Aamir told reporters after cutting the cake at his residence in Pali Hill here with six-year-old Manvi, who had come with her journalist mother. Even though he had no plans for celebration, when visitors poured in, he obliged.
Before cutting the cake, Aamir met his fans who had come with gifts and bouquets to wish him on his birthday.
"This year I am looking forward to spending lot more time with my family, with my children, my mom and Kiran. Professionally, I have three films up for release this year 'Peepli Live', 'Delhi Belly' and 'Dhobi Ghat'," he said.
"I have to learn a couple of things. I want to learn two languages. One is Marathi, which I can read and write but can't speak and the other is Urdu, which I can speak but can't read and write. I also want to learn swimming," Aamir said.
"I will also learn to cook from my aami. She is a brilliant cook, " he added.
Asked what his wife Kiran gifted him on his birthday, he said: "Kiran has made a painting for me."
Aamir shared his experience of meeting Hollywood film director James Cameron in Delhi.
"It was wonderful experience to meet James. He is a wonderful person and a great filmmaker. I got the opportunity to meet him, know his thoughts...he is very down to earth. It was a great honour and privilege to talk to him," Aamir said.
Asked if he is signing any Hollywood film, he said: "If something interesting comes up, I am ready to take it up. But right now, I am not doing any film."
