As you jostle in to watch the latest Deol flick in town, you expect a lot of snarls followed by hailstorm of punches, which could even put a pugilist to shame. But the junior has something else in mind. He wants to act as he blows the next police station available and takes rogue cops to task.

His breakdown in front of his brother's dead body make you realise that there is an actor in him , which is lurking to be revealed. But then he has a surname Deol succeeding his own presence. So he has to take care of some chores too, whether you like it nor not.

He is an army man, Aditya Shrivastav, who has been shown the door for his disobedience. Now a travel agent, he brings up his younger brother Anuj (Ritesh Deshmukh) all by himself.

Anuj is a live wire and has a girlfriend Ramona (Tara Sharma).

On a hapless day, he is picked up by three rotten goon-cops, Yeshwant Thakur (Rahul Dev), Sunil Yadav (Ganesh Yadav), and Deepak Sawant (Vishwajeet Pradhan), completely unknown to him, and subjected to third degree torture in a cell, which results in a motiveless death.

Trying to hush up the case, the police forges him as a drug peddler and claim his death to be an encounter killing.

That is enough for the smoldering volcano to erupt and what follows is series of gun-fest, car chase and high voltage court room drama, where the ex-girlfriend Payal (Lara Dutta) renews her passion for her old love flame.

'Bardaasht' is hardly a polished product and has it's share of glitches but it's not as bad as it is made out to be. E Niwas's directorial venture is low on script but definitely a high on performances.

You can make an assessment from the fact that Lara Dutta and Tara Sharma deliver decent performances, inspite of the plot being an action drama.

As for Bobby, this junior Jat is far from over. All he need is to break the rut and try his hand at variety.
