Aneek Dhar, is one of the fresh young talents straight from the land of sweets and sweeter voices, Kolkata.

He astonished everybody with his melodious voice and his performance in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He debuted with his first solo album 'Khwahishein' which was a huge hit. He is back as a participant on the rocking show IPL Rockstar! Let's have a look what Aneek has to share about his experience on this show.

How is your experience performing at a cricket stadium?
It is a fabulous experience which cannot be explained in two or three lines. Whenever I am performing I make sure that everybody sitting there in the stadium enjoys my song and start grooving to it. It's a big opportunity for me to perform in front of cricket lovers and I will definitely make an effort to perform well.

Who is your favourite cricketer?
My favourite cricketer is Sachin Tendulkar. I don't like him only because of his cricket skills but he is a very humble, calm and down to earth personality.

I met him during IPL in the year 2008. I was really happy to meet such a great personality. He appreciated my singing skills and even patted my back stating that I really sing well and blessed me for my future.

How's your equation with Saurav Ganguly?
Saurav is not like a friend but brother to me. His mom, daughter and wife like me a lot and always invite me to their place. I met Saurav at one of the Bengali award functions in ITC where we both were rewarded. I went to see the movie Rann with his family members recently. Saurav is a gem of a person. He is very hardworking and friendly.

What do you prefer singing on the cricket field?
I like all kinds of songs. Though, I prefer singing energetic songs on the cricket field because the atmosphere at that moment is completely different.

I want everybody to jump, scream and enjoy my songs out there with full enthusiasm. I believe a song should be sung according to people's mood and as most of the crowd all over India enjoys cricket from the core of their heart. So such songs work as cherry toppings on ice cream.

What do you feel about Shilpa Shetty being a judge?
She definitely has a great persona. She is a very beautiful lady. I am very lucky to have her as a judge on this show. I will give my finest performance so that she enjoys being a judge amongst us. She is also like a motivation for all the young singers participating in this show.

Have you got any offers for playback singing?
Yes, I have worked with many great playback singers some of them are Bappi Lahiri, Shantanu and Aniruddha.

I have always tried to give my best and improve after every step. I always have a busy schedule so I travel a lot from Kolkata to Mumbai and vice versa.

It depends on my work completely. Though I miss my mom a lot when I am away from her, I don't want to be a spoiled brat. I want to earn a lot of money and save for my parents. I want them to feel proud of me.

What do you think about this show IPL Rockstar?
I think it is a perfect platform for fresh talent to show his/her capabilities. This is a very versatile show. It provides one with a stage to polish one's skills and find one's strengths and weaknesses. This is very important to reach the peak point of one's career. I believe if you work hard, God is always there with you.
