Rahul Roy's career is defined by two moments. First when he became a star with his debut film Aashique.

Second, after remaining in wilderness for a while Rahul Roy made headlines for winning the inaugural season of Bigg Boss. Well, another such moment awaits the forlorn actor who is now being offered his first television daily.

It's widely buzzed that Roy has been approached for a paternal role in Swastik Pictures' first daily on Colors. The show has been tentatively titled as Chand jalne laga. This is a love story, and in all probability it will be a prime time show.

A source close to the actor confirms the news. "Yes, Rahul has received an offer from Swastik Pictures for a pivotal role in their show for Colors. However, he's yet to respond to it. He'll be meting the production officials soon. If talks go smoothly, then Rahul could well make his debut in a fiction show on TV."

Roy last appeared in the film Vidhyaarthi: The Power of Students in 2006.
