Yashraj Film's Badmaash Company is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. The Shahid Kapoor- Anushka Sharma starrer has made news for a long time now – be it for the differences between Shahid and director Parmeet Sethi, Shahid saving Anushka from a mishap and the argument between the lead pair! Its music is also creating waves, literally. The film's music album was released recently and it has been well-received.

The music has been composed by Pritam, who has composed for several of Shahid's films like Jab We Met etc.

The music is perky, fun and upbeat – in true Pritam style. Badmaash Company is about a group of youngsters trying to make a quick buck and the score does full justice to theme. The track Ayaashi is a high- energy number, crooned by KK.

It has Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in an extremely glamorous look. Jingle Jingle is a more thematic song, with a rap feel. Chaska and Fakeera are the other well-composed tracks.

The album has four tracks and two remixes. It has talented vocalists like KK, Mohit Chauhan, Krishna, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Dayal on board.

The pertinent lyrics by Anvita Dutt add to the compositions. The music is a hit, especially with the youth. The Ayaashi and Chaska remixes, in particular have topped the charts.

But it would have been nice to have more female singers as well. The success of the music has added to the films overall appeal.

Yashraj are hoping that after the failure of Pyaar Impossible, This one will be a winner. Looks like it, if the music anything to go by!!!
