Heroes actor Sendhil Ramamurthy has smooched co-star Goldy Notay in Gurinder Chadha's It's a Wonderful Afterlife.
The Heroes actor has not one, but two full-blown kisses in the film. And both scenes were shot, not on a set but in the busy streets of London's South Hall area with crowds looking on.
A source from the film says, "While Goldy was nervous before the first kissing scene, Sendhil was relaxed and calm.
In fact, he spent some time talking to Goldy and tried to make her comfortable. Since the kiss had to show passion between the two, it had to be done right.
Also since Goldy was a bit jittery, there wasn't scope for too many retakes."
Jokes apart
The source adds, "Realising that Goldy was nervous, Gurinder, the unit members and Sendhil kept teasing her saying they should rehearse the kiss on-screen.
Sendhil even joked saying he'd kiss her lightly during the rehearsal and save the tongue for the final shot. It had become a topic of discussion on the set."
Chadha laughs, "I told Goldy to just relax and enjoy knowing that the women (and some men) on the crew were watching on with jealousy."
Currently shooting for Covert Affairs in Toronto, Sendhil was just as open about the multiple lip-locks, "It was no big deal really!
It may be recalled that Sendhil had a much talked about sex scene with Dominican hottie, Dania Ramirez, in sci-fi TV show, Heroes.
It's a Wonderful Afterlife released in the UK on April 21 and releases in India on May 7.
