The filmmaker was in Denmark on April 15 for the CPH-PIX film festival where his film, Dev.D was screened. However, when the airports cancelled flights, he had an adventure of sorts. He has now come up with a script.
Anurag stated that he isn't complaining about being stranded in Denmark for a week, as he got to write a script. He had to think of other modes of travel as the airport in Copenhagen was closed.
He states that he had to change six trains to get to Rome in 28 hours. However, he found it an amazing experience. He reveals that he didn't even get a seat in two of the trains, reminding it of his experience in Mumbai's local trains and his early days.
Anurag likes going to small, cryptic film festivals alone because my actors only like going to big, glamorous events. He admits that he has never been to Cannes simply because he never had a film represented there. He feels that people from the Indian film industry attends the Cannes every year to make a fool of themselves with no film to represent.
He will be attending the Cannes for the first time next month because his film, Udaan is being screened there.
