Premiering on Zee TV on Friday, 30th April at 9:30 PM, DID L'il Masters is all set to rock the nation as the ultimate dance platform for kids!
With judges of the stature of ace choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan and ballroom dance expert Sandip Soparrkar, DID Li'l Masters will feature the country's 16 best child dancers vying for the ultimate recognition – The Golden Super Wings.
Aiding them at every stage to put their best foot forward would be Jay Kumar Nair, Amrita Mitra, Mayuresh-Vrushali and current favorite Dharmesh Yelande, all incredibly talented dancers from the previous seasons of Lux Dance India Dance.
They will play the role of ‘skippers' to the 4 teams of 4 kids each. Grand Master Mithun Da will continue to make his gracious presence felt and oversee the grooming of India's young talent as the first season of DID Li'l Masters crosses every big milestone.
Speaking of the show, Farah Khan said, "I cannot wait to begin shooting for DID Li'l Masters. I have had the chance to see the rushes of the auditions from across the country and I can only say I am stunned speechless.
There are kids of barely 5 years of age who have mastered serious art forms like Bharatnatyam and Kathak, children who can do a Michael Jackson act leaving professional dancers to shame.
We have 16 rock stars in the making and I have no doubt that the audience will be left begging for more after each performance."
Sandip Soparrkar who will also be the technical director of the show said, "Zee TV has gone all out and tapped every nook and corner of the country to scout the finest talent for DID Li'l Masters. I have personally traveled to all the major centres of auditions and hand-picked some phenomenally gifted kids.
Spunky and spirited, they have great attitude and can move better than most adults. With the meticulous grooming a Dance India Dance contestant goes through, I am very confident that the kids will deliver one outstanding act after another."
While anchors Manish Paul and Saumya Tandon will be seen hosting the audition episodes, there is a lot of speculation as to who will be the anchors for DID Li'l Masters once the gala episodes begin.
A number of popular child artistes are under consideration for anchoring the show. After the resounding success of Lux Dance India Dance, the production house appointed for DID L'il Masters will be TRP (The Right Picture).
Mr. Nitin Vaidya, Business Head, Zee TV and COO- ZEEL said, "Dance India Dance has emerged as the definitive platform for dance in the country.
We are extremely happy that with two successive seasons of Lux Dance India Dance and now DID L'il Masters, choreography has come to the fore as an aspirational career option for scores of youngsters across the country.
On DID Li'l Masters, we are very confident that the atmosphere and mood set by our able judges and skippers will encourage and motivate the children to deliver superlative performances that will leave our audience simply enthralled."
