After acting in TV soaps and movies, producing plays is Barbara Mori's newest obsession. Her first theatrical production will be staged later this year.

The actress, who is currently in Mumbai, will return home in Mexico to supervise work on the three-act play that will be staged in her hometown. During her stay in Mumbai, Barbara discussed her plans to turn into a theatre actress with Hrithik and Sussanne, extending them an invitation as well.

Later this year
A source reveals, "Barbara has already started work on her production. Before coming to Mumbai for the Kites promotion she had a meeting with her cast. They plan to stage the play sometime later this year. Now that she's done TV and films, theatre is something that interests her."

Barbara confirms, "Yes, I plan to do theatre next. In fact, that's something I have wanted to do for a long time. But since I started with TV and got into a daily soap I never got a chance to experiment with theatre. I will be producing the play and will be acting in it as well. I can only say that it's a love story."

She even wants her Kites co-star Hrithik and his wife Sussanne to see her on stage, "They have been really good to me and treated me like family. I would definitely want them to come and watch my play when it's ready."

Mori wants to open Mexican restaurant in Mumbai

Barbara Mori has her hands full promoting her upcoming film Kites, but that has not stopped her from making future plans.

While she hopes that her talks to star in another Bollywood film will work out, she is also making plans to open her restaurant in Mumbai. Of course, the restaurant will serve authentic Mexican cuisine, as the actress is from the Latin American country.

She feels that if Indians and Mexicans have something in common, it is their love for food. Barbara admits that she is not very fond of spicy food, but she loves the non spicy Indian dishes she has tried so far. Barbara would also like to collaborate with Bollywood filmmakers through her production house.
