Insists she be paid as well as co star Priyanka to star in the Anurag Basu film

Deepika Padukone sure knows what she's worth. She has apparently told Anurag Basu that she will sign his film Silence, if he agrees to pay her on par with Priyanka Chopra, who is also acting in the film.

After all, if she signs the film, she will be sharing screen space with her ex boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor. She has also asked for her role to be made more substantial.

Silence was to originally star Ranbir and Katrina Kaif. When Katrina learnt that Priyanka has been signed on for an important role of a mentally challenged girl, she opted out of the film.

Anurag then tried to sign Asin but talks fell through. He then approached Deepika. Deepika is interested in the project, but she is making her conditions very clear.

Anurag hopes to finalise his cast soon as shooting starts in July. Silence mainly revolves around Ranbir, who plays a deaf and mute character.
