Akshay Kumar recommends water therapy to Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are exchanging serious health notes. After his back surgery last month, the Khiladi feels protective towards the Khan who has also undergone back and shoulder surgery and is bravely doing tough stunts in Ra.One without fearing a relapse.

Akki, who went away to Hamburg, Germany for water therapy for back trouble, is not ready for an action film, and feels that SRK, too, ought to exercise more care and caution before plunging into action after an injury.

Waiting it out
Says Akshay, " I am not ready for an action film. I'd like to wait a while before doing stunts again although I've been given a green signal to do so. "

The Khiladi strongly recommended hydrotherapy to Shah Rukh. And from the look of it, Shah Rukh has finally been persuaded to go by Akshay's prescription.

He admits, "Every time I meet him, we talk about his back pain and the remedies. I have discussed water treatment with him at length. I think he took my advice seriously. "

The action star has several dos and don'ts to avoid lingering injury to the back. "Actors tend to get into heavy-duty action scenes without a warm-up. Big mistake!"

Avoid the AC
According to Akki, actors must avoid air-conditioned surroundings after doing an action scene. "And after the stunt, don't rush into your van. If you have to, switch off the air conditioner. Just relax in normal temperature. And after returning home, soak you for at least half an hour in a bathtub filled with ice. Not warm water, please. "

Far less pressure
The Khiladi's safety measures are now being implemented at Shah Rukh's residence Mannat. He concludes with some more advice, "Nowadays, we work under so much less pressure. I remember we used to jump off high-rise buildings without a proper harness. Now we're provided all safety measures. We need to exercise caution on our own. Then we'll be fine. "

The Khiladi actor has also recommended hydrotherapy to Sunny Deol who suffers from a chronic back problem.
