If there is one thing that R.Madhavan is fiercely protective about it's his nationality.

We come to hear that R.Madhavan takes being an Indian very seriously and does all he can, whenever he can to pay respect to the nation and is not too happy with those who don't.

Says an upset Madhavan "Its amazing how many Indians don't know that one has to stand at attention and without movement during the National Anthem. Sad"

The star was also overwhelmed when he saw the Afghanistan cricket team's response to their national anthem during the recent World Cup.

"Was so moving to hear the Afghanistan players reaction to their national Anthem at the T 20 WC.. What a great moment for them." adds Maddy.

Well Madhavan sure had brought us to tears with his patriotic performance in the blockbuster Rang De Basanti and we salute him for not just his reel life character but his real life values as well!
