The friends turned foes come together for Mani Ratnam film

Shaad Ali and Vivek Oberoi have tentatively agreed to forget their differences and come together for a project close to the heart of their common friend, Mani Ratnam.

Shaad and Vivek had a falling out after Saathiya, but when Mani wanted them both to come on board his assistant Shiva's directorial venture, they agreed to do so with no questions asked. So while Vivek will act in the film, Shaad will be its executive director.

Though mani is not directing the as yet untitled venture, he has scripted it himself.

It is a biopic on one of Mani's best friends and Mani wants to ensure that Vivek, Shaad and Shiva get the nuances of the character right. So the trio will go to the UK two weeks before the shoot is scheduled to start to get their act right.
