It's official. Shahid will be seen with and without a beard in Mausam. Apparently, he has four different looks to represent the four seasons of the year in his father Pankaj Kapur's directorial venture.

The bearded look has been planned for the last part of the film, which represents winter. Shahid's character experiences a gamut of emotions from the joys of love to the pains of losing it in the four different seasons and his looks will change accordingly.

In the first part, Shahid plays an Indian Air Force officer, so he naturally will not have a beard. But Shahid has grown it now because Pankaj decided to shoot a particular scene from the last season first. Once the scene is shot in Scotland as scheduled, Shahid will shave off his beard to shoot the other sections of the movie.

Meanwhile, Pankaj is yet to finalise the different looks for Sonam Kapoor, who plays the female lead opposite Shahid. Sonam is currently shooting for Anees Bazmee's Thank You in Canada, and work will begin on her looks once she returns.
