After having worked in the film industry for almost three decades and exploring his passion for teaching, Kanwarjit Paintal now wants to start a production house of his own.

"I am not keen about direction but what I really want to do next is to start my own production house. I am working on the details or can say am in the pre-production stage of it, " Paintal told in an interview.

Kanwarjit Paintal, who is popularly known as Paintal, started off as an Indian comic actor and agrees he was typecast to the genre for a very long duration.

"I established myself as a comic actor, so I was offered and got restricted in those limitations, " Paintal said about being typecast in his early film years.

"I completely agree I was typecast to the genre but I worked hard to get through the image and tried a lot of different roles. It was challenging for me but I proved myself and that makes me proud, " the actor added.

Paintal will next be seen in "Vroom, Adventures of Smarty, the Magical Car" directed by Savin Tuscano. It is the story of a car with a mind of its own. Along with Paintal the film features Daisy Irani, comedian Naveen Prabhakar and newcomers Gaurav Bajaj and Nina Sarkar.

Slated for a May 14 release, the film will have Paintal donning the character of a scientist working on a chip that makes objects come alive.

"I play the role of a scientist (who is a little crazy) working on a wonder chip which can turn any object alive. It's an adventure trip of a car which turns alive. It has been very challenging as it is a children oriented film, " Paintal said.

Paintal's portfolio includes films like "Jawani Diwani" (1972), "Parichay" (1972), "Jangal Mein Mangal" (1972), "Heera Panna" (1973) and "Satte Pe Satta" (1982).

The actor, who is 54 years old, revealed he is passionate about teaching and claims to be a certified workaholic.

"I love teaching, it has made me grow as an individual. If by god's grace I stay fit, I want to work for 20-30 years more. I am a certified workaholic, " Paintal said about his work habits.

"In fact, I can work 36 to 40 hours at a stretch. I am passionate about what I do and this is what keeps me going even at this age. I hardly get time to laze around, " he added.

Paintal has two films in the pipeline, one of them being untitled till now and the other falling under the horror genre.
