Himesh Reshammiya will not attend the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Sri Lanka next month. Reason? The music composer is miffed with the organisers for turning a blind eye to his last release, Radio. The film has been ignored from all the music nominations categories.
Even though Radio didn't work at the box-office, the music was a commercial success.
A source close to Himesh states, "As the jury members did not consider the fact that the music of the film was popular, Himesh has decided to stay away."
Himesh, however, denies his absence has anything to do with being unhappy over Radio getting a cold-shoulder.
He says, "I am recording abroad. I won't be able to attend as I am tied up with my prior commitments. It has nothing to do with Radio being left out."
Next project
At the moment, Himesh is gearing up for his next release -- Pooja Bhatt's Kajraa Re. The first promos of the film will go on air in the coming weeks. The music composer-turned-actor is also working on an international project that he's currently keeping under wraps.
