Debutant Vikramaditya Motwane's Udaan is the official entry to the Cannes film festival from India after 16 years.

But the India Pavilion at the fest did not put up any posters of the film.

Says Vikramaditya, "I was really hurt after learning that they did not put any poster in spite of the fact that Udaan is the only film representing India this year in the official selection.

I myself had to put up the posters of the film." Udaan screened in the Uncertain Regard section at Cannes and looks into the mind of a teenager.

Meanwhile
Producer Anurag Kashyap, director Vikramaditya Motwane, actors Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor and Rajat Barmecha walked the red carpet on Wednesday for the premiere of the film.

They also did photo calls at the event. After the screening the team received a standing ovation.
