Salman Khan may be hot at the box-office but the Amitabh Bachchan-Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zinta-starrer "Lakshya" is yet to completely run out of steam at the turnstiles. The Farhan Akhtar film is likely to get a fresh boost after getting tax exemption in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and West Bengal.

The film that has cinematography by Hollywood's Christopher Popp has found mention in Time magazine as India's first mainstream film capable of holding its own against virtually any summer smash from Hollywood, reports say.

The Guardian has likened it to films like "The Guns of Navarone" or "Where Eagles Dare".

Director Farhan was also in the news for reasons other than the success of his second film. Not only has he tied up with Avtar Media, Los Angeles, for co-production and distribution of crossover films, some unconfirmed reports say he will act as Amitabh Bachchan's son in a film to be directed by Rituparno Ghosh.

Excel Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., which produced "Lakshya", is understandably flying high. In addition to inking a deal with STAR TV for three films, the company has floated a distribution arm along with AA Films.
