"Sajid Bhai is a veteran and would not indulge in any unethical business practices," Apurv Nagpal, Managing Director, Saregama said in a statement.
"Our relationship has been and continues to be excellent. I wish the Producers Guild of India and the Music Industry could get together to prevent such legal action in the future," Nagpal added.
The Calcutta High Court had issued a notice to Nadiadwala earlier this month restraining him from using the remixed version of the song from late Prakash Mehra's 1981 film "Laawaris". His son Puneet Mehra alleged that Saregama had flouted copyright norms by allowing Nadiadwala to use the song and it should be removed from the film.
Nadiadwala's counsel managed to get an amended order and the movie was released with the song.
