She's married with a kid, yet Sonali Bendre can put the leading Bollywood ladies to shame. The trouble though, with our industry, is that once an actress steps into motherhood, she can no longer figure in the wish list of producers.

Actors like Bendre then look for a career in television. The pretty Marathi girl has been a regular figure on the small screen right from her Indian Idol days. Presently, she's back to adjudicating the second season of India's Got Talent – Khoj 2.

The problem that such actors face is that the media deliberately tries running them down by presciently asking the proverbial question, 'When will we see you back in films?

When she came to Indian Idol, Bendre had a valid excuse to dock this query. "I have to look after my new born, " Bendre defended her absence from Bollywood.

This time around, the media cleverly tweaked the question. "You couldn't take films earlier because of your young one, but your child must have grown now, so aren't you looking towards coming back to films?

Sonali broke into a smile before saying, "My kid is still small. Honestly speaking, if I have to return to films, the feeling to do it ought to come from the heart.

At the moment, my heart says no to it. Besides, a TV show requires you to give just 1-2 days in week. All you have to do is come, express your opinion and get paid for it. For me it's matter of pride that my opinion is valued."

We've heard it straight from the heart. So, until the heart gives in, it's pointless asking Sonali, 'What's your next film?'
