Dressed in chic aquamarine, perfectly coiffed hair and flaunting an amazingly svelte figure, former Miss World Priyanka Chopra looked poised as dozens of mikes were shoved at her and cameras flashed continuously.
"I have quite a few films slated for release. I will be seen in 'Aitraaz', 'Barsaat', 'Blackmail' and 'Yakeen'. And in all these, I am playing different types of characters.
"And this is just how I want it to happen. I want to keep playing more and more challenging roles with each film I sign."
Chopra who hails from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, was in Delhi to launch the new pack of Today's Tea. But she said she was waiting to get out and sink her teeth into the city's famous "gol gappas".
"But I just hate all this pollution in Delhi. Otherwise, this city is close to home and it has always felt like home here," she said.
Chopra's latest film "Mujhse Shaadi Karoge" has just hit cinema halls.
"In 'Mujhse Shaadi Karoge', I play an ordinary likeable girl who cannot chose between Salman (Khan) and Akshay.
"In 'Aitraaz', directed by Subhash Ghai, I play a controversial character, with shades of grey, whereas in 'Barsaat', I am quite the opposite, a soft and pleasing girl."
Even as the cameras flashed around her, Chopra was at her coolest, not a hair out of place.
"I have my self confidence and am perfectly comfortable with all this exposure," she gives her classic lop-sided smile.
"All this is so easy come and easy go. I will stay on in this biz-world if I am any good at it. It is all there for only 10-15 minutes."
Reacting to a comment by another model-turned heroine about sex being the only thing that sells in movies, Priyanka said, "I would not underestimate the Indian audience to be so foolish.
"Maybe I too would not always be dressed in a demure Indian sari onscreen, but you would never see me dressed in a bikini to sell a movie," said the actress who has done a couple of sizzling dance numbers in some of her movies.
