Veteran singer Asha Bhosle has revealed that she was once offered to play the role of Indira Gandhi, the 'iron lady' of Indian politics, in a musical in Britain.

"Years ago I was asked to play Indira Gandhi in a UK musical play. Condition: I had to live in London. I refused, " she posted on her microblogging site Twitter.
