Salman Khan was seen at two events - one a filmy affair and another a camp for disabled children. Needless to say he was a great hit at the second do.

On Saturday night "Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa" was launched at a well-attended party by celebrities like Salman, Priety Zinta and Bhumika Chawla.

There was high drama after the music of the film was officially launched. Salman went and sat down in the lobby alone. Security guards had to guard him and make sure that the media was kept at bay.

Later he was taken to a room where Preity Zinta and the other film stars were having dinner.

The next day, Sunday, an NGO called Deeds had invited Anil Kapoor for an event but since he could not make it, Salman agreed to come when contacted at the last minute.

Deeds, a charitable trust that stands for Development, Education, Empowerment for the Disadvantaged in Society, supports the cause of the hearing and speech impaired.

Deeds held a free, complete health check-up camp for deaf and mute children at St Joseph's Convent High School.

Salman could not make it on time and by then almost every media person had left. He finally graced the occasion and lit a traditional lamp. Dressed in a smart black and red sleeveless T-shirt and sporting dark glasses, Salman created quite a stir with the children.

Milling around him for autographs and holding onto his arms, the children were delighted to have him in their camp.

Salman and Lali Dhawan, wife of director David Dhawan, very generously offered to fund the camp.

Some of the NGOs that participated in the camp include The Stephen High School for the Deaf and Aphasic, the Helen Keller Institute for Deaf and Deaf blind, the Shivaji Park Lions School for Hearing Handicapped, The Central Society for the Education of the Deaf and the Sanskardham Vidyalaya for the hearing impaired among many others.
