Sumalatha Playing Big B's Wife In Kandahar

Sumalatha, a popular South Indian actress is making her comeback with major Ravi's Malayalam movie Kandahar. The one time most popular actress is going to play the role of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's wife and Ganesh Venkatram's mother in the movie.

The actress had given most of her hit films with superstar Mammootty, with whom she had a dazzling onscreen chemistry. She is now wife of the Kannada actor Ambareesh, who is also a politician.

The most memorable roles of Sumalatha in Malayalam movies are Nirakootu, New Delhi, Isabella, Thoovanathumbikal etc. She has joined the unit of Kandahar in Ooty on June 30. Most of her scenes are expected to be with Big B.

Sumalatha has acted in over 200 films in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. She started her acting career at the age of 15 years after she won an Andhra Pradesh beauty contest.
