Anil was at his jovial best at the event. The actor began by saying that he has gate crashed at the music launch because his daughters didn't invite him - which was actually all part of a joke and left the audience in splits.
"This is the worst day of my life. My daughters didn't even invite me for this launch. My driver told me about this event and that's when I gate crashed it, " said Anil.
This was not the end to an evening that spelt fun not just for the cast and crew but also for the members of the house.
VJ-turned actor Cyrus Sahukar, who was the compere for the event, posed as a caterer and was the reason for many a laugh. The evening also showcased few songs from the upcoming film.
Apart from Anil, Rhea and Sonam Kapoor, other celebrities present at the event were Javed Akhtar, Amit Trivedi and Lilette Dubey, among others.
Akhtar too added to the cheerful attitude of the evening by saying that he was relieved that the music of the film is releasing Sunday since now he would not have to take calls from Rhea.
"I'm so glad the music is releasing today, since now I would not have to take calls from Rhea to change things in the songs. I don't believe in re-incarnation but if there is something like that, then in her last birth, Rhea must have been someone sitting on a pyramid in Egypt and whipping a slave, " he quipped.
The film boasts of six tracks composed by Amit Trivedi of "Dev D" fame.
"Aisha", also starring Abhay Deol is an adaptation of the British novel, Emma by Jane Austen. Sonam plays the main protagonist. The movie has been directed by Rajshree Ojha and has been shot in Delhi, Hrishikesh and Mumbai.
"Aisha" is set to hit the screens Aug 6.
