With the stupendous music of "Dev D", Amit Trivedi proved his prowess and now with the soundtrack of forthcoming film "Aisha", he has reaffirmed that he is a young composer to look out for.

The music of the film, starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol, is young, hip and has a raw feel to it. The album offers six originals and two remixes.

The album kickstarts with the title track "Suno Aisha" crooned by Ash King with backing vocals from the composer himself. The prelude holds the interest with the inclusion of the saxophone in the musical arrangement. It is foot- tapping, exuberant and full of rhythm. A great beginning to the album.

Next in line is "Gal mitthi mitthi bol", an amazing folk outing by Tochi Raina. The Punjabi song is not like any run-of -the-mill track. It has the potential of becoming a chartbuster with its unpredictable orchestration and a fun element.

The remix version of the song is equally engaging.

"Shaam" by Trivedi and Neuman Pinto touches the heart instantly. The acoustic version has a raw feel, as if someone is singing live in front of you - which is the song's USP. Its soft rendition of words and melodious music enchants the listener.

Then Anushka Manchanda, Samrat Kaushal and Raman Mahadevan sing "Behke behke". The song has a complete carnival feel. The sound of the accordion and the fast-paced vocals are intermixed with English and Hindi lyrics. While the male singers have done a good job, Anushka has surpassed them with the throw of her impressive voice. It is more of a dance number.

A contrast to this is the soft, melodious "Lehrein" sung by Anusha Mani, Neuman Pinto and Nikhil D'Souza. The soulful, poignant track is quite likeable.

The song also has a remixed version, but the original is more appealing.

Finally Anushka sings "By the way", a track with a powerful starting. Neuman gives ample support to Anushka and adds to this youthful, energetic and electrifying song. The rock-pop song has a punch and will be liked by the younger generation a lot.

Amit Trivedi deserves to be applauded for the soundtrack of "Aisha", which is contemporary yet different. The composer has tried to fuse new sounds in the music of the film, which has worked very well.
