The maximum viewership of SAB TV's 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah' comes from Gujarat. This is one state which they would consider their own and last expect any trouble. Unfortunately, the team didn't have all
that pleasurable experience in their recent trip to Baroda.
The 'Taarak...' team was in Gujarat to shoot a special sequence with Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan. Gurcharan Singh, who plays Roshan Sodhi, was to meet Pathan personally.
According to sources, "Gurcharan and others had to shoot a particular sequence at Baroda railway station. Unfortunately, the team allegedly didn't get the required permission to shoot at the station.
They
were stopped by railway police, who then booked them for shooting without official permission. The matter was resolved after the production team allegedly paid a fine of Rs.2, 500. There's another theory that
Gurcharan was booked for noise pollution as the scene required him to scream at the station".
When contacted, Gurcharan Singh said, "Yes, we did face a little trouble in Baroda. However, I can't talk about it now".
Gurcharan is the only member from the cast to have met the cricketer. Perhaps, this problem was worth taking as the reward was really satisfying.
