The Rock On!! director will feature in a reality show as he has no films on the floor

Director Abhishek 'Gattu' Kapoor's next, an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's 3 Mistakes Of My Life, has now been postponed indefinitely.

The film, produced by Riteish Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, was due to commence shooting mid-2010. Left with a lot of free time on his hands, the Rock On!! director has now decided to sign on as one of the 12 celebrity contestants on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi: Season 3.

While Kapoor remained tightlipped, a source reveals, "With the entire focus of Farhan Akhar's production house being on Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain followed by Farhan's own Don 2, Abhishek's film has been pushed to the backburner."

Chetan Bhagat, who's co-scripting 3 Mistakes Of My Life, says, "Chal raha hai (Work is on). Abhishek is wrapping up the script."

Meanwhile, Gattu is fulfilling his on-screen ambitions. Says a friend of the director, "Gattu always wanted to be a star. He started as a hero in Ufff Yeh Mohabbat. Now is his chance to indulge in some serious herogiri."

The guys who feature in the adventure show, Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3 along with Abhishek, include Milind Soman, Gulshan Grover, Rahul Dev, Cyrus Broacha, Dino Morea and Rahul Bose among others.
