The new Rupee symbol certainly seems to have caught on the imagination of those in advertising and media and even the country's superstars.
"One last bit for today. Insisted to Sony to incorporate the new Rupee symbol in the KBC logo. They did. Looking so cool !!" Bachchan tweeted on Tuesday.
Hours ago he had quietly posted the new logo on his blog, without much fanfare.
The buzz started after his tweet, and soon he also posted an image through his Twitter account, saying, "New logo for KBC ! Note the Rupee symbol incorporated in the design. My suggestion !! Yeahhh !! Feeling good."
Instead of the four 'Rs.' markings surrounding the centre, the new logo features six of the new Rupee symbols, in gold.
Amitabh Bachchan returns to the show, which began in 2000 with him as the host for the first two seasons and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan for the third season, after a hiatus of four years.
The first season of the show show was credited with revolutionising Indian television, but the subsequent seasons, especially the third one, failed to draw the same euphoria.
And so, Sony Televsion, the channel that bought over the telecasting rights from competitor Star Plus, reportedly has planned a makeover for the show and it is confident that the show will indeed do well.
To begin with, this season will reportedly run for 9 weeks only and include only 36 episodes as compared to 270, 60 and 53 episodes for the previous three seasons respectively.
It also seems to increase the excitement quotient, the new season will also feature 12 questions as opposed to 15 in the previous editions.
Word is that the show is being well-received among advertisers and over 50 per cent of the advertising slots have been sold.
Big Synergy, the production house that is working on the production of the show is currently finalising the details but some radical changes are expected.
Kaun Bangea Crorepati: Season 4, is expected to go on air from October 11, coinciding with Amitabh Bachchan's 68th birthday, and is scheduled to be telecast on Mondays to Thursdays at 9 PM.
