A Pennsylvania University English professor is penning the next Mahesh Bhatt film.

The film is about one day in a life of an elderly Muslim man who is waiting for the body of his son to be returned from police custody.

"The whole film is structured around the waiting process," says Amitava Kumar. "There might even be some songs but it is essentially a powerful film."

And his next book is on the Biharis in Bollywood.

"Everyone from actor Manoj Bajpai to the Bihari guards outside Aamir Khan's house will be in the book," said Kumar.

Kumar is in New Delhi to promote his third book "Husband Of A Fanatic".
